Press Release Summary = Kauai's North Shore is still open for visitors and offering
the same services and Kauai experience.

Press Release Body = For Immediate Release
Visitors, planning to stay on Kauai's North Shore can expect the same services and
beauty that they have come to expect from Kauai's North Shore. The recent flood
damaging a section of the Kuhio Highway has slowed traffic down near Kilauea, but
does not detour driving to the many North Shore attractions like Hanalei, Hanalei
Bay, Tunnels beach, Princeville or the Hale Makai cottages.

Rike Burmeister, who was at the cottages at the time of the flooding in Kilauea,
says, "The cottages and the garden are as beautiful as ever", [referring to the
garden Hale Makai is located in], "I love watching the rain over the ocean and beach
from the deck outside my cottage".

Visitors are encouraged to slow down while driving over the new section of Highway,
but are able to easily reach all of the fine dining and shopping offered throughout
the Kauai. Surfing and snorkeling and walking on the many beaches of Kauai remain a
highlight for island visitors.

The heavier rainfall has brought some advantages to tourism. Kauai, known as the
"Garden Isle" due to its annual rainfall, has even more spectacular waterfalls
caused by the increased rain, affording breathtaking views of the mountains. Photo
opportunities abound as the sun shines through the mists of the numerous waterfalls
causing awesome rainbows.
